ABOUT THIS SITE:
A few milestones
from the site's counter:

Thanks to everyone who

An award that the site has won:

The site was finally
posted on Friday September 24, 1999. I started working on it on in June,
and finished in August. I took my time and tried to make a great site.
I hope you like this site, and will come back often.
I was inspired to create
the site, after noticing that there was not an "ultimate" source
for in-depth Goldeneye information. The site was originally intended for
players who had mastered the game, but were still craving more... But,
as many rookie players also visited the site, I began creating sections
for walkthrus, and pretty much covering every aspect of the game that
I could.
It would take quite
a while to completely browse through the site, as it has become the largest
site for Goldeneye 007 on the net.
The site was created by the "one man staff", of myself, DetErest.
I have no idea when the site
became official. It started by making an analysis of the Multiplayer characters,
their pictures, their colors, and visibility in levels, all in an HTML
document. A few more things were experimented with, and soon, it became
clear that these Multiplayer tips and strategies should be posted on the
web for everyone to see. But why stop at Multiplayer? Why not include
information from the Beta Version? And all the tricks, glitches, guns,
cheats, and codes that make Goldeneye 007 a great game?
The site received many delays
before it was finally uploaded. It was to be complete, and full before
anyone was to see it. A total of about 3 months went into the making of
the site, before it made it to the web. Since then, the site has probably
increased in size ten times since 'first edition'. Seeing sites "still
under construction" on the web is kind of an eye-sore. Many of these sites
are opened, placed under construction, then abandoned. This was not the
fate that I wanted for this site. My "motto" was to either do
it right, or don't even bother.
Just a small interesting tidbit
here... Where the largest number of site visitors come from:
1: USA
2: Canada
3: Australia
4: United Kingdom
5: USA Educational
Notice how USA Educational is
fifth overall in site hits. That means people are using their school's
Internet time to surf the net for Goldeneye info. How cool is that? Very.
