BETA MISCELLANEOUS:
Some things from the
beta version can't be classed into levels, or sections, so Miscellaneous
section to include some of the other details.
Screenshot from SubDrag
|
SubDrag has hacked
Gameshark codes to modify Bond's body, so Bond can be changed
to be other characters in the game. That's not all though.
There's also Bond's oversized arm...
It's Bond's arm, from his Jungle suit. What could it possibly
be for? I suspect that it's actually the graphic for Bond's
hand found in a rare glitch, below...

A similar arm is
shown in this screenshot. It appears to be a glitch where
you can actually make Bond's arm fall off. I've tried the
trick, pausing the game just before dying, but I haven't been
able to make it happen. |

 Beta
Package
A brand new beta code hacked
by SubDrag. This code allows you to obtain a package of items.
It simply modifies the Dr. Doak's door decoder item in the Facility,
to the "package". It's still called the decoder though, and the
decoder image itself is just modified for effect. The image mod
ends in ED, the item mod ends in 2C. The 2C is the necessary one.

When
you select the decoder, and "use" it with Z, you'll pick up a Sniper Rifle,
two Throwing Knives, and two Grenades. You automatically switch to the
Sniper Rifle after doing this. This is really a neat hidden thing in the
game. What mission could this "care package" possibly have been used in?

 Beta
Hats
Yes, beta hats. Hats have been
found in the memory, using Gameshark/Action Replay. Two new fuzzy Russian
hats, similar to the ones worn by some of the guards in the Runway, and
Bunker 2. The hats are identical, but one is bluish, and the other is
brownish. The one in the final game is grayish. Not at all a big deal,
but just interesting. In the left shot, the guard on the right is wearing
the bluish hat. Compare it to the regular hat of the left guard. In the
right screenshot, the guard has the brown hat.

 Beta
Alarms
These double alarms are also
in the game's memory. They look kind of similar, but I actually prefer
the look of the single alarm better. Again, nothing major, just something
to point out.

 Beta
Glass
As many of us have already noticed,
there are locations within the game that contain a different kind of glass.
It's clear, with white diagonal reflections on it. It can't be broken,
bullets pass through it without making a mark. So far, beta glass has
been found on the Dam's island, the Statue huts, the Depot's train station,
and The Phantom recently informed me about it being on the ceiling of
Aztec, looking up after the computer room, in the inlets where guards
are. This is just something that is very strange. Why was so much of it
left in the game? Was it simply forgotten about? Most likely.

Multiplayer
Suits
Another thing found with game
enhancers, are extra suits for the characters in Multiplayer. The suits
don't look to be those that would have been worn by guards, but possibly
Civilians? It seems strange that in the streets level, all the people
of St. Petersburg would be dressed the same, red shirt, dark pants. The
best solution I can think of for these characters, is that the two extras,
plus the Civilians from Multiplayer, were all intended to be in the Streets
at the same time, making a total of six different sets of Civilian clothing.
This would have made the game more detailed.
|
Select Character Missions
Enhancers can also be used to modify the Multiplayer character pictures.
The available pictures to change it to, are all of the regular pictures,
plus the old Bonds, and these... Pictures of 16 of the game's levels...
Why would they even be available as pictures?
Missing levels include Surface 1&2, Bunker 1&2, Silo, Streets,
Jungle and Control. The last picture includes levels that are only in
Multiplayer.
