00 Agent: James Bond

Mission 7: Cuba

Part iv: Cradle

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

  1. Destroy control console
  2. Settle the score with Trevelyan

BACKGROUND: Janus control communications have been jammed and the Goldeneye satellite orbit is decaying. Only Trevelyan and his personal bodyguard remain unaccounted for.

M BREIFING: You know my feelings about personal vendettas interfering with mission success, 007. However, in this case, I think we can turn a blind eye to whatever happens out there

Be careful, and remember,

-you are licensed to kill.

Q BRANCH: Would you believe it, 007? There's another blasted control thingy actually on the antenna cradle. Trevelyan might be able to realign the antenna and get one last firing message through the satellite. Get out here and destroy it! We don't want things going pear shaped at the last minute.

Speed is one important thing to completing this level successfully. But you may want to run right around to the back of the starting point to grab armor. After that, run along the walkway, firing as soon as you can see the guard who always comes. He's sure to hit you, but you want to make damages minimal.

Just been shot. Continue firing until he drops, otherwise you'll never make it to the top. Once you kill him, grab his gun(s), and be prepared for three guards at the top. Try to finish them off before they start firing; get them while they're still running there, and aim high.

Take the fork to the left, and head down the first downward ramp you come to, being prepared for more guards at the bottom. At the bottom, there are stairs. Turn left after the stairs, towards the left building, and knock out the drone before entering. The drone isn't very sensitive, so you can get fairly close.

Alec is in the building, try to hit him with a few shots before he leaves, then take out this drone in the corner. Then behind the machinery, find the computer and destroy it. Objective A: Completed.

Since you had to stop and destroy a couple things, the Special Forces are sure to be on your trail. Take a moment to dispose of any followers. Proceed out the far door, but don't take the ramp. Look over the edge to spot Trevelyan, and snipe him with repeat shots to the head until he runs.

More guards are sure to follow, so move behind the ramp, where they won't shoot at you until they come all the way across, making it easier for you to shoot them. Go back through the door, exit the shed, and proceed to the opposite shed, to take a few shots at Trevelyan. If you're low on armor, grab some behind the machinery.

Again, same thing, shoot Trevelyan in the head. Keep going back and forth between the two sheds, until Trevelyan tells you to "Finish the job". THEN, you may follow him to the bottom of the cradle, reached from this bottom platform, down a set of stairs.

Down the stairs, and into another shed, where Trevelyan will mock you, and then hop down the ladder. Follow him, but be careful...

Trevelyan will usually hesitate for a second, and this time is your chance to finish him off. But if he shoots you, it can result in you falling from the cradle. Be sure it's you that takes shoots first, and make them count, until Trevelyan falls. Objective B: Complete.
