OHMSS
00 Agent: James Bond
Mission 6: St. Petersburg
Part i: Statue Park
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
- Contact Valentin
- Confront and unmask Janus
- Locate Helicopter
- Rescue Natalya
- Find flight recorder
BACKGROUND: Following the Severnaya incident,
MI6 has lost track of the Pirate helicopter. Presumably, the bugging
device has been located and destroyed. Natalya Simonova, who returned
to St. Petersburg against our advice, has gone missing. We can only
assume that she has been abducted by the Janus Syndicate in a belated
attempt to cover their tracks.
M BREIFING: This situation is critical,
007. Janus knows we're on to them an they're taking control. We're going
to circumvent the usual channels on this one. I've arranged contact
with an ex-KGB agent, Valentin Zuchovsky, in Statue Park, St. Petersburg.
He claims he can set up a meeting with Janus. Apparently, the head of
Janus wants to see you in person. Frankly, I'm uneasy about this but
it's all we have to go on.
Q BRANCH: No gizmos this time, old boy.
Start out, and stick to the left side, killing
any guards that you come across so that they don't cause you damage.
Keep to the left, and you'll eventually come
to a hill, and keep curving left to see the red box car that Valentin
is waiting in.
Just approach him to start talking, and when
the conversation is over, you'll receive the "OBJECTIVE A: COMPLETED"
message.
Head out of the box car, in the general left
direction, and navigate through the satues.
You'll come to this narrow opening, and just
past it, in the right picture, you can grab Body Armor in these
statues After that, continue right, of these statues.
Continue past the statues, and you can climb
this hill, and as long as you stay against that wall to your right,
you'll reach Lenin's Statue, where you are to meet with Janus.
Janus will appear with his bodyguards, and
he will instruct you to put away your weapon. Do it, or you'll fail.
Once he reveals himself as Trevelyan, and you get the OBJECTIVE
B: COMPLETED message, take off on the side that you came, and watch
out for the shotguns!
Continue back the way you came, passing Valentin's
boxcar, and the rest of the statues you past on your way there,
all the way back to where you started the level.
You'll come to the Pirate helicopter, and
just approach it to wake Natalya, then head back down the hill so
she'll follow and not be in the explosion.
When heading back down the hill, the Janus
Special Forces guards will likely be there, armed with Shotguns.
Take out the ones in your way, and maybe even grab a shotgun yourself.
You'll find the flight recorder somewhere
at a random spot in the Statues at the bottom of that hill. It shouldn't
be too hard to find, just search everywhere until you see the orange
box on the ground, and pick it up.
Now head back up the hill, all the way to
the gates where Mishkin will be waiting. You don't need to talk
to him, you can just exit the level. Don't shoot though… Or Mishkin's
guards will kill Natalya. It's best just to open the gates, and
leave.
