EXTRA MULTIPLAYER
CHARACTERS:
After
you beat the cradle on Agent mode, you will get more characters in Multiplayer.
Instead of their picture, there is a silhouette with a question mark.
The designers wanted them to be mysterious, or maybe they were just lazy.
I have listed all of the characters and their advantages in specific levels.
I included pictures as well as some details, and which Mission level they
appear in. Often, darker characters are harder to see than others. That
doesn't mean that if you select a darker character you will beat a lighter
character, but you will sometimes have a small advantage. But in brighter
levels, lighter characters are less visible than dark
characters.
|
|
Russian Soldier: Dam, Facility, Bunker, Archives, Streets
The Russian Soldier is a normal heighted character. He wears dark green,
making him darker and less visible. The best levels to use him in would
be ones with green. He is not a poor choice but not the best choice either.
Best Level: Crouching in the Stack and Archives. Decent in parts of the
Caves.
|
|
Russian Infantry: Silo, Statue, Egyptian
The Russian Infantry has a little brighter coloring than the Russian
Soldier does. This would make him more visible in some levels than in
others.
Best Level: Egyptian and Temple. Also good in parts of Caves.
|
|
Scientist: Facility, Silo, Caverns
Ugh! What a horrible choice. Everyone shoots the scientists in mission
mode, and the same goes for battle. To top it off, those damn bloodstains
would be hard to get out of those white clothes. In different Multiplayer
levels, He is either easy to see, or hard to see. He also has black pants.
Best level: Bunker. Also good in Complex and Facility Halls.
|
|
Female Scientist: Location: Not Found
Same as above but smaller target. No black pants, blends in better.
|
|
Russian Commandant: Dam, Surface 1, Bunker 1
He's not very common at all in Mission. There are only three of them
in the game that I know of. Being dull, he doesn't stand out in many levels,
nor does he blend in with dark places.
Best Levels: Temple and Egyptian.
|
|
Janus Marine: Frigate, Depot, Train
An overall darker character. Not a horrible choice. He can stick out
in darker levels, and the same for brighter levels. He would never be
my first choice for any level, but there are a few spots where he blends
in.
Best Levels: Basement and Bunker. Also good in Complex and the halls
in the Facility.
|
|
Naval Officer: Frigate
The hostage! Shoot Him! Is what you might hear if you select this character.
Since he is a darker color he isn’t as noticeable in darker levels as
some of the other characters are. But he stands out in lighter levels
though.
Best Levels: Excellent when crouching in the Archives or bottom part
of the Stack. Almost an exact match.
|
|
Helicopter Pilot: Location: Not Found
The Helicopter Pilot can't be found in Mission Mode. He probably got
deleted from the game. Originally, he was probably on the Frigate, where
there is a helicopter. He also appears on the selection screen after the
Janus Marine and the Hostage. He wears dark blue, and has a helmet. His
helmet provides no protection at all though. Why wear it?
Best Level: Water Caverns. Also good in Basement and the blue Facility
rooms.
|
|
St. Petersburg Guard: Location: Not Found
This character is not found in mission mode. He was probably in an earlier
version of the game, in Mission 6. As a Multiplayer character, I would
list him as average. He is not bright or dark, kind of average, so a decent
choice as long as the level has dark spots.
Best Level: Water Caverns walkways, and rest of level, but a dark character
is better. Also good in Facility blue rooms.
|
|
Civilians: Streets
I didn't bother analyzing the civilians. They are just boring characters.
In Mission mode, they don't even have guns. In Mission mode, there is
only Civilian #4 with the red shirt and dark pants. The other three aren't
there. The only short one is the female Civilian #1 in blue. Civilian
#2 wears light blue with a gray vest. Civilian #3 wears dark blue/purple.
|
|
Siberian Guard (I): Statue, Archives
The Siberian Guard wears the same uniform as Mishkin. This makes him
a dark character making him harder to see in dark levels, but easier to
see in light levels. Since he's all black, he's a bit better than Bond,
who has a bit of white.
Best Level: Water Caverns. Also good in Basement
and Caves.
|
|
Arctic Commando: Surface 1, Surface 2, Bunker 2
This guy isn’t a bad choice either. He is fairly dark in color. He has
splotches for camouflage, but that doesn’t do much indoors. Another fair
character to select, he can be harder to see in most levels. I picked
this guy the first time I tried out the "?" extra characters after
beating the Cradle.
Best Level: Blue rooms in Facility. Also fair in Basement.
|
|
Siberian Guard (II): Dam, Runway
The Siberian Guard is a darker character making him harder to see in
some levels. His best levels are ones with dark shadows. He really doesn't
have any great levels to blend into.
Best Level: None. Decent Levels: Caves, Water Caverns and Basement. Also
fair in the Temple and Egyptian.
|
|
Siberian Special Forces: Surface1, Surface2
Ahhh! It’s the abominable snowman! Not exactly. This guy is excellent
in lighter and gray levels, but he is easier to spot in dark levels. He
is one of the best overall Multiplayer characters, because he blends well
with all of the lighter levels. Those red bloodstains will show up quick,
though, making him a bit easier to see, but they are also a nice match
my red controller, how lovely!
Best Level: Bunker, and Facility. Also good in the Complex, parts of
the Basement and the upper parts of the Stack.
|
|
Jungle Commando: Jungle, Control
Well, this guy is certainly well camouflaged, but again there’s no plant
life to hide behind indoors. He is one of the darker characters, but not
all that dark. He would be perfect if the Jungle was in Multiplayer. But,
unfortunately for him, it isn't.
Best Levels: Crouching in the Archives and bottom Stack. Also fair in
the Caves.
|
|
Janus Special Forces: Bunker 1, Bunker2, Statue, Train, Caverns, Cradle
The Men in Black. In mission mode, these guys are armed to the teeth
and have tons of body armor. In Multiplayer though, they are normal characters.
Since they are black, they can go unnoticed in the shadows. Overall, he
is one of the best characters to choose in dark Multiplayer levels.
Best Level: Water Caverns. Also Good in Basement and Caves.
|
|
Moonraker Elite: Aztec
"Banana Man!" This guy is just a target in Multiplayer. His bright yellow
suit is worse than a "Kick Me" sign. I didn't think they looked very normal
in the Moonraker movie either. Don't pick this guy in dark levels,
although he isn't good in light levels either.
Best Levels: Egyptian, and Temple.
|
|
Female Moonraker Elite: Location Not Found.
The Female Moonraker Elite is the same as above, but smaller, and harder
to hit.
|
|
Extra Multiplayer Characters
The extra Multiplayer characters that can activated
with the ten step button code (see Button
Codes section) all wear Bond’s Multiplayer suit (except for
Rosika, the cleaning lady). They are also all Bond's height. They are
all dark characters that blend in well with shadows. Their faces are taken
from programmers and other people who made the game. If you read the credits,
you can match names with the characters here.
|
|
The
Terrorist
and the
Biker, the two best extra code
characters, as they have heads that aren't found in the final
game. The biker's face, is actually that of the Multiplayer Russian
Infantry, simply with a helmet, and sunglasses. The terrorist
character's face, is that of the Janus Special Forces character,
tinted black.
|
|
The other characters have the names and faces of the game's creators.
The character names appear in the end game credits, and I've listed each
of them below.
