GOLDENEYE 007 RUMORS:
Goldeneye 007 is one of the
biggest games for rumors....
|
|
The All Bonds Cheat:
Probably the biggest rumor surrounding Goldeneye 007 is the existence
of the All Bonds Multi Cheat. I can say that I'm positive the Cheat doesn't
exist in the Game, and it's not a built in cheat that you can earn. The
rumor is that if you beat the Aztec level on 00 agent in 9:00, with the
enemy settings at 200% health, 100% accuracy, and 100% reaction speed,
you'll get the 24th Cheat. With that magical Cheat, you'll
be able to play as Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, and Timothy
Dalton. I heard that this came from an official gaming magazine. It's
bad enough people on the net are giving false tips, but now about official
magazines? I also know that the 24th Cheat is the line mode,
that can be activated with a Gameshark. Line Mode appears in the Cheat
options, and it makes 24 cheats, with no room for the All Bonds Cheat.
|
The "Cheat's" character pictures are different than those that can be
accessed by a Gameshark, so that helps prove that they're not real.
|
|
I think that the programmers
originally had this option in the game, but they ended up taking it out
for the final version of the game. They left behind screenshots, and the
pictures inside the game that can be activated with a Gameshark. The Line
Mode cheat's effect can be activated during Gameplay without Gameshark,
with a button code in my Button
Codes section.
|
|
 Here
are some of the pictures that sparked the rumors. The left one is from
a gaming magazine, and the right one is from a movie clip of the beta
version. It is highly unlikely that their faces and suits remain inside
the game, but there are people who aren't going to give up until they
are found. Imagine, a perfect Multiplayer deathmatch, to determine once
and for all who the best Bond is. CLICK
HERE for my best non
glitchy code I have right now.
I'm sure that those pictures are real, and not fake, but I also am sure
that It's from the Beta version. If I were to guess, the guy in the white
suit is Sean Connery, the guy in the blue is George Lazenby, the guy in
the gray is Timothy Dalton, and the Black one is Roger Moore.

Where are Oddjob and Mayday
in Mission Mode?
These
two characters are nowhere to be found in the Mission mode of Goldeneye
007. I'm not sure if they were planned to be included or not. Anyone who
has seen either one of them is lying, or using a Gameshark.
|

Oddjob and Mayday are not in Mission Mode of Goldeneye 007. I repeat they
are not in Mission mode of Goldeneye 007! They were likely there at one
time, but they've been removed. No secret trick or impossible task will
make them appear. I've heard a million stupid stories and tricks about both
of them, and none of them are true. This section is about the myths, stories
and thoughts from the beta version. |
|
I
heard that the beta version, the two of them were in the extra levels
the Stack and the Caves, before they were replaced by Aztec and Egyptian.
Rare has actually stated some truth to this, but they weren't specific.
They did state that the two levels were mission, but not at the same time,
that order, or something along those lines. The Caves is actually just
a mirrored, twisted version of the Jungle. The Stack and Caves were changed
to Aztec and Citadel, then Citadel was changed to Egyptian as we know
it now.
|
|
Here's
an old picture of Oddjob. He's in the temple, which
I'm sure was never a level in Mission Mode. I think the Caves might have
been, and that's where He was supposed to have been in. But that's just
a rumor, and I don't have any proof of that.
|
|
It's
Mayday, in the level she's rumored to have been in, the
Stacks. This picture is taken from the Multiplayer Stacks, not the Stacks
from Mission mode.

|
 After
the discovery of the Random Enemies Gameshark code 8035
7778 0001, pictures of
the two have been everywhere. A random enemy will appear as all of the
level's guards. So that means every character would have been Oddjob or
Mayday. Since it's at random, you'll likely have to try a bunch of times
to get Oddjob or Mayday. I've gotten Mayday, the right pic, a bunch of
times. But I've only ever gotten Oddjob Once, as well as Jaws and Baron
Samedi.

At one time I honestly thought that by using Ourumov's briefcase and
key, you could find one of the two villains, somewhere in the Silo, but
my search found nothing. Later, a reliable video game magazine confirmed
that the two don't exist in mission mode.
If you've honestly seen either one of them in the final game, please
get a life. They aren't there. If they really are there, You probably
forget how you did it right? I thought so. But if you have honestly seen
them in Mission mode without using a Gameshark, you need help.
Just look for Dr. Mario in the Mushroom Kingdom Phonebook. I'm sure you
already have one.
*UPDATE: THE FOLLOWING IS A STORY ABOUT A FALSE RUMOR ON THE NET. IT'S
NOT TRUE. I REPEAT, NOT TRUE. DON'T TRY IT. (you can if you want)
Someone claims that they have
found Mayday in the Water Caverns. He says "you might be impressed". Of
course he's lying. What confirmed it is the fact that he said you can't
use a Gameshark: Anything in Goldeneye can be accessed by a Gameshark,
because the game can't tell if you're using one or not. I e-mailed the
guy, and he hasn't responded. Just for the record, he says you have to
have no cheats on, or Gameshark. Go to the end of the level on 00 Agent,
turn back and go all the way back to the start. He claims that after that,
Mayday should come running out of the elevator. I think the people who
make up this stuff really should get a life. What are they trying to prove?

RUMORS REGARDING THE EARLY BETA VERSION
As I've searched the Internet looking for Information on the Beta version,
I've found a few things that I'm not sure if they are true or not, so
I made this section
|
|
The Null Gun:
It's been confirmed that the
Null Gun never did exist. The name Null means nothing. It was put into
the game, because Rare was aware of the glitch in the Bunker to get a
new unusable weapon, so they named the item that you get, Null. To get
the "Null Gun", check the explanation in my Tricks
and Glitches section.

|
Extra, Extra Levels?
These pics aren't real, they're fakes: They are both the same, with just
a few words that could have been cut and pasted. Also, they both are called
Enemy Base, and Rare wouldn't name two different levels the same thing.
Another thing is how the only existing pictures of them are on the 007
Special Options screen, much like the Citadel's setup screen. They were
probably both made using that pic as the base, and then adding to it.
|
|
The Moon Base?
The first of the two extra levels was the Moon Base. It's kind of based
on the Moonraker movie. The Levels Objectives:
A: Find Enemy Base
B: Find Taser
C: Defeat Drax
Of course, I don't believe there was such a level. And Bond is never
instructed to find anything, he locates it. Also, why would
both levels have existing pics of the 007 Special Options? You can see
in the word "Moon", that the "M" looks like it was tampered with.
|
|
Buddha Temple: Ah ha...
The Buddha Temple. Wait... Look
at it's spelling of Buddah "ah"... Compared to the correct spelling of
Buddha, with "ha". It's definitely a fake. Rare would not have made such
a huge spelling mistake, even in a test version of the game. Sorry to
the pics maker for ruining your fun...
|
|
Just for the record, Here are the Buddha Temple's Objectives that I found:
A: Get Golden Gun (Remember, Bond doesn't get, he obtains or locates)
B: Locate Scaramanga (Hey, the guy is catching on...)
C: Kill Scaramanga (Maybe... but Bond's more likely to defeat)
D: Talk to Nick Nack
These objectives are a bit more believable, but why would you have to
locate, and kill him? In a real level, locating him would not be an objective,
you would just be instructed to kill him.
I asked Rare about the existence of these levels, and they actually gave
me an answer. "No". Rare actually admitted to the existence of the Citadel,
for some strange reason. But I believe them when they say that the two
levels in question here never existed. They are supposed to be levels
22 and 23 I think, along with Citadel, mission 21. That doesn't make any
sense at all. The Buddha Temple and the Moon Base, were completely made
up.

Golden RC-P90s
I don't know about this one. It seems a bit too good to be true. If they
did have such an awesome cheat, why get rid of it? They could have kept
it, and had a total 24 cheats, or they could have replaced one of the
crappy ones, like Single Laser, or Golden Gun. I've discovered that there
was an extra weapons cheat, where you had the Magnum, Laser, and Golden
Gun. Why break that up into three separate cheats? All those codes are
useless once you get All Guns, especially Laser, then 2X Lasers. What
were they thinking?
